Protein Smoothie

Fruit Pooooowweerrrrr! The blender can be a loud wake-up call in the morning, but it's ultimately worth the ruckus for the refreshing taste and supercharged nutrients that will kick-start your day. A vast variety is available with this breakfast option as well. Replace the apple juice with one of your favorite juices and discover the perfect combinations with various fruit assortments. I give this one a 4 out of 5 stars, with its only downside being that it can be a little cold and loud in the winter. (Portions may need to be adjusted slightly to better accommodate your blender.)
Ingredients:
2 cups of frozen fruit
10 oz. apple juice
Protein Options: 3 tbsp of hemp hearts
Directions:
Scoop 2 cups of frozen fruit mix into the blender.
Fill the blender to the fill line or approximately 10 oz. of apple juice, or other desired juice.
Add 3 Tbsp of hemp hearts into the blender.
Blend components together until smooth, about 30-35 seconds.
Enjoy!
Variations:
Substitute the hemp hearts for your favorite pea or whey protein powder.
Switch up the flavors based on the frozen fruit you choose. In the summertime, consider using fresh fruit (freeze it first to make a thicker smoothie).
